Watching this I can't help thinking that a performance of this restraint and lack of bullshit would be laughed off stage on today's "talent" shows (X-factor, Australian idol). But it shows a kid who is serious about his craft. If he was around now he would quite possibly get discouraged and made to have teams of dancers behind him and all that crap. You have to admire his ambition. He really did it the hard way.

There is an hour+ biography on KZbin about his career that anyone who loves his music and performances should watch. It's a marvelous study of personal belief and dogged persistence. Nobody who doesn't believe in their own talent could have made it that far and finally SUCCEED as Keith has. He is one of a kind!!!

WOW! Thank you so much for posting this and that was great advice they gave him and he obviously and wisely took it. Really enjoyed watching this as Mr. Urban's music is something that will always be on any list of my favorites. I found his music like most here in the States , just as he was having his break out hit and it couldnt have come at a better time as it is what got my through a very difficult time in my life with out it i honestly dont think I would have gotten through it okay. Never under estimate the power there is in music and what it can do to comfort, soothe and heal the mind, body and soul.

A radio announcer??? This reminds me of another superstar who after 25 (give or take a couple) years was not only a mentor on American Idol once but also participated with contestants on XF US and XF UK, Jon Bon Jovi was asked "If you were to audition like what they do with the talent shows, would you make it?" His response was the fastest no I had ever heard. His band has been at it for over 30 years now and I still love them. Keith has gone a long ways from being a radio announcer. Think of what we'd be missing!

Great video, and the back story that the poster was on the show too is very cool. Keith is a huge star and I personally think his music is great. That said, he didn't wow me here, he seemed ok but nothing special as a singer, and the judges were spot on about his lack of voice control skill and breathing. He must of did a lot of work on his voice and performing skill sets. Good on him.

Except the auusie is gone in vocals..such as...( caunt) He's awesome his voice is very than anyone and he's able to pull off vocals like no one else, even when that is not his strongest suit.!
