Here's my rendition of a cool little intro that Keith plays on his live version of "You'll Think Of Me". The version I'm referring to is here - • Keith Urban - You'll T... . Hope it helps some!

Dude, don't listen to the negative comments. Some people are just naive. Thanks for taking the time to do this and giving to the YT guitar community. Good job!!

Very Cool, I always wanted to know how it was done. You made this really easy to learn. thanks....

Very well done, easy to understand for even us beginners. However, when picking the strings for the picking pattern, a little slower might be helpful. I really would enjoy the second part if you ever have the time (strum pattern included). Thank you very much for the video ! Great Job

Not tryin to put you down, I am just tryin to give you constructive criticism. i know when I was learnin how to play guitar, i found it extremely helpful to explain all of the strings that you plucked in the picking pattern.

@Netlocd kind of a strange comment. This is a pretty quick pace for picking and singing, and not exactly a beginner level song. New players shouldn't be trying to jump right into something like that... its actually counterproductive.

I have looked at 15 "how to play" of this song you have done the best job. I have watched your videos and only thing I could ask is brighter lighting and a tad slower on teaching the runs, not a lot just maybe extend 30 seconds into 45 seconds.. thanks

Can you please do a part 2 for the rest of the song!
@veikko9116 жыл бұрын
Me too. If you could write a picking order in description box, that would be great. Thanks.

@Netlocd It's totally up to you whether you want to learn faster songs or not at whatever level... but as a music teacher this is not something I would introduce to a beginner, more times than not it would intimidate them.

hi I love your version of the "how to play you'll think of me "I think is so close to what Keith Urban do its amazing. The only think is I am absolute beginner and I know this is a very hard song but is the song that made me buy a guitar and start learning. All I ask is an explanation of the picking pattern so dummies like me understand. If you can just tell us the live intro and the intro picking pattern (6 4 3 2 .............) I will be forever greatful

@20GuitarZero07 Not really considering I jumped right into songs that involved fast picking when I first started playing.

@GeetarHeroMcD can you write just what strings you hit? like i can tell it goes 6, 4, 3, 2, 3, 1.. but i lose it after that because you go so fast.

Haha dude ur awesome! Love your approach to the song and all. U did an awesome job! You should travel and give guitar lessons

Can you tell us the picking pattern? 6th, 4th, 3rd,2nd , 1st string, then I'm lost. Please and thank you!

Dude I watched a different tutorial and it was the same but the finger placement was different. I have pinched nerves in my neck and have a hard time spreading my fingers and it pisses me off lol. I can play it the way you do so thanks and awesome intro my friend....KEEP JAMMING
@nzmorcr3 жыл бұрын
Watch the live version on KZbin. This fella is doing the finger positions EXACTLY like Keith played it. I also had a horrible time with other tutorials. Plus they had mistakes that I had to point out, like just plucking the notes that do the slide up (they don’t ring the the 1st string, and this guy does). Obviously this poster did his homework, and did an awesome job!

exactly how i figured it out myself, except I dont use a pick... i'm much faster using all of my fingers to do the picking, especially for a song like this.

i dont like your approach to this song. you should be more descriptive to people who aren't as good at guitar as us.
