I dare say, the more I play piano, the heavier my string gauge on guitar has gotten. I played on 9's for so long, but over the last two years of piano playing, I have slowly migrated up to 12's or 13's with the same level of playability.

Nice, did you have to change picks doing that and what kind of strings do you play? You're up in S.R.V territory with 13's haha.

Do you sightread the music to be able to play this?

I can read very slowly but I don't work from sheets when I play guitar, if ever I happen upon a piano piece I think I can wrap my head around I'll do that. I generally import midi files into Guitar Pro and rework/arrange the playability from the mess it creates. It's a good way to learn the fretboard actually because not only are you trying to render it as playable as possible, you have to consider the entire structure of the piece because you don't want to cover an insane amount of the fretboard for nothing.
