@@draggin-up9911 Have you heard any other songs by Keith Whitley? He was one of the last of a different breed of country writer/performer. He also helped to set the blueprint that a lot of today's "country" singers follow. By today's standards, I'm sure he may not stand out as anything special to you. But (and I don't want to make assumptions about your musical likes or anything) I would suggest giving a listen to his other songs.

I face a few of Keith's demons and I can tell you...he is one of the most amazing artist ever. Please never judge Keith for he had the most amazing gift I've ever been priviledged to see. It doesn't matter how many pills, counseling session, etc. that you undergo, sometimes...you fall back on what is familiar and comfortable and occasionally that is alcohol. It does not mean you are a sorry individual, just that you battle demons. Keith battled his demons to the very end and did so much good.

You know what you are doing is destructive, but you have no control anyway. God Speed Keith, A beautiful soul with a beautiful voice. Real country music like this does not exist anymore. Not near cool enough for today's clueless young generation.

Is it just me or did anyone else hear the catch in his voice at the end of the song? Was there more meaning in this song, at that performance , for Keith than anyone knew? My heart hurts........he must have had lots of demons. He always seemed so sad, kinda just going through the motions.

He definitely barely held it there at the end. Hard to watch this now knowing how it all ended. Sounds like the pain he was carrying inside covering it up with booze almost slipped out.

Keith touched so many people with his immense talent and because of that, he lives on through his music. Thank you for posting Keith's work. There are many of us that sincerely appreciate it!!

Keith has one of the greatest voices ever. He is one of the rare singers whose voice is recognizable when you hear it on radio . His song here is my favorite and it's wonderful to see him with his Grand Ole Opry debut. His red haired guitar player played at Renfro Valley Entertainment Center here in Kentucky for awhile in the 90's. I recall him vividly with his red hair and his white tennis shoes. Thank you for posting this treasure. - Paula

It’s almost 2021 and I still say Keith Whitley has the best voice I’ve ever heard! He had no idea of how good he was and how he would still be so loved almost 32 years after his passing. Anyone with voice training realizes how intricate and difficult it is to sing a note with so much variations. He was truly a master! I listen often to his music and it gives me both joy and sadness. Sadness because I’m so sorry he’s gone and how so many years to come were wasted.
