I'm in something that on outward appearance seems normal but I fall apart and come to know something that should never happen in today's society, i been walking alone through it being homeless for 7 year's now and have been denied all the services, I'm merely existing and also always under constant reminder of what my town hides please pray for me pain is all I know, forgiveness is a powerful thing.

I just love when he smiles in the video when he sings about overcoming obstacles. He was truly a magnificent artist and human being who struggled with demons like most ordinary people do. My husband and I were huge fans. He was so good. I can't imagine if he would have lived past 33. He would have had so many huge hits. A truly, natural talent taken way too soon. I hope that he has had a wonderful eternal resting place with his heavenly father.

This man was in his prime and considered one of the most loved country singers of ALL TIME, EVEN while he was alive. Sadly he never realized how popular he was and how loved he was and he never got over his alcohol demons and it won. This song is EXTREMELY ironic and sad because the meaning of the song is to express how he got over his lifelong demons but that never happened.

Starting in the mid-80's the "Neo-traditional" sound in country music was growing and from 1984-94 some great sounds were coming out of Nashville and C&W music was at a highpoint. People like Keith Whitley, Dwight Yoakum, Sweethearts of the Rodeo, Hank Williams Jr. Southern Pacific, Foster & Lloyd, BR5-49 etc. were making some great music. Then Garth Brooks came along and it devolved into Tractor Rap. Sad.

Yes his songs and voice could just touch your heart and soul sadly he passed away I believe in 1989 I was only five but knew all his awesome songs and can remember watching his funeral. He had some issues with depression and alcohol he had kicked his habit for a little while but sadly it was said he died of an accidental overdose of alcohol they said he had over five times the legal limit of alcohol. If you’ve never heard any of his other songs check them out. Also may God Bless you all in the UK as well.
