Slip eccentrics are very interesting I had never encountered these before and so wondered how some engines were able to go in both directions despite having only one eccentric. Thanks for showing this type of valve gear .

Sounds to have some blow by. Do you ever bother to diametrically time the engines?

Thanks for another good job. There are a lot of slide valve engines. But did they ever make a rotating valve engine?

I have been thinking about buying one of these engines, but are they worth it?

I would recommend a DR mercer traction engine. If you look the up you can find them for sale at Minsteam. They are quite simple and relatively cheap.
