Keith said to remember OSPF Neighbors need to match and the acronym TANMAT helps T-Timers A-Area N-Network Address M-MTU A-Authentication T-Type (Network Type) And THIS is why I always watch Keith Barkers channel.

Hello! newbie here! what is the difference between 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 and 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255 ?
@NetworkBruh3 жыл бұрын
0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 is typically how you would create a default route. The first four zeros is saying any destination network in the IPv4 address space, the second set of zeros is the wildcard mask saying you don't care about matching any number in each octet. in 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255 the first four zeros is also saying any destination network in the IPv4 address space BUT the 255.255.255.255 is the wildcard mask that says to match each octet in the destination you just mentioned (the exact address of 0.0.0.0).

Thank you Joseph Martin. Feel free to join my Discord sever. Lots of people there helping each other out. Keith, thank you so much for your tutorials and videos! It really helps me to improve my network knowledge at all. I still have a question, not regarding to OSPF: I was looking to dive in into SDN and some people recommended me if I want to build a bigger network, I should use MPLS as underlying “backend” in order to make traffic engineering easier (RSVP). Have you already made a video about this topic or similar here (or on CBT)? I would really appreciate it.

Hi, just found this channel. This was a really great video! I got a question though: Instead of activating ospf on the interface via the network - wildcard mask syntax. You can do "ip ospf 7 area 0" on every interface and achieve the same result right? Is this a valid alternative?
@KeithBarker3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the question Pontus Åberg. Yes, enabling on the interface is also a valid option. Both ways work.

Dear Sir, please make life easy for beginners like me. I am finding it difficult to work on packet tracer 7.3 version. I hope you will give me solution. Twice I uninstalled and reinstalled but find it difficult to login again after the laptop again restarts from sleep or hibernate mode.
