Out for my first ever hunt with the new fisher F44
and I couldn't have had a better day
found ring # 17 for 2015 and it was 18K gold with 8 real diamonds

Nice finds. I was thinking about buying the F44, but no stores is selling it yet in my county(Denmark), so I bought a used X-terra 305 instead. I hope I did the right thing. What are you gonna do with the ring? Selling it or do you have a Lost and Found in your area? In Denmark, it's the law, that you must give it to Lost and Found at the local policestation.

I have a F44. I have found a sliver and a gold ring in 2 inches or less as well. Wait till you get into dirt. Won't find anything like that past 5 inches. You can get a qtr and bigger at 8 inches max and that's about it. I am not very happy with my F44. I was sold on it being comparable to a 700 machine. I find that hard to believe. It is a good detector for it price. Also I am a first year hunter, I started with a Teknetics 4000D. My wife uses that now. Not a bad machine. If you find stuff deeper than 7 inches.. I really would like to know your GB, Sensitivity and Mode settings. Just so you know, I do not dig everything I here as well. Find a lot of bottle caps and pull tabs along with the can slaw. Good finds. Well done.
