Importing Landsat into ENVI

Note that ENVI classic will not currently open Landsat MTL files from Glovis - see also my other video about importing Landsat into ENVI 5

Hello kejoyce12, do you know if there's a way of importing Landsat MSS images into ENVI? I need to perform atmospheric correction on 8 such images I downloaded from USGS and can't even open them. Thank you!

Hi kejoyce12, I have the same problem as Jigme, I run ENVI 4.8 and open the MTL file as you mentioned in the video but still I got the same message "Problem: An error was encountered reading this file. Error: Array dimensions must be greater than 0", then I followed your video, for opening landsat in ENVI 5, I still failed, when I open as landsat geotiff metadata, I got an error message saying : File:LT51180661995256DKI00_MTL.txt, Unable to recognize the file type of the input. Would you please show me what caused this? I am stuck in finding ways to solve it. Thank you very much. FYI, I downloaded the image yesterday 7 Oct/2013.
