awesome! you got a new sub from me. I just have two questions: will the straight angle brackets that you didn't use also fit on the PLR16? and what hand rail do you have on the gun?

Than you for the support! Yes the other brackets will work as well. The hand rail is a Midwest Industries quad rail. I actually have another video of the install.

I did this to mine too. It's so much nicer with the brace huh? I did mine about the same time as you. Great video btw. You should've put the sling loop on it. That just added $350-400 in resale value for under $200 including the brace and you still have all the extra parts. Good decision plus it's so much cooler. Peace.

Did you guys have to swap out the buffer tube to fit the sba3? I was able to get my hands on the su16 kit from keltec for my plr16 but my brace was too small and didn’t fit on it at all. I couldn’t find anything saying the su16 kit came with a mil spec or commercial tube so I dunno if it was just a bad brace or if it’s made for milspec. Yours went on a lot easier than mine did

@@erichewitt7653 you need a mil-spec brace for the mil-spec tube. Mine fit right on without any problems. The SBA3 should fit. Swapping the tube is easy though. Good luck.

Thanks for the quick reply! I wonder if keltec switched from milspec to commercial at some point or maybe the swap to milspec wasn’t shown in the video. Either way looks like I’ll be swapping tubes. Thanks again!

I was having a hard time finding it as well. I got this one from keltec but they are out. If you can find it the hardware from SU-652, SU-651, and SU16E-652 any one of these will work.

Are still listed in production on keltec website. But most keltec's are hard come by, not made in huge numbers. Need contact keltec find your state main distributor see if get on a wait list for next production round. Also look at the keltec su16c , has the folding stock built in and is rifle not pistol, easier pass state laws.

This nonsense is why ATF cracked down on pistol braces. Your "brace" you installed is a movable piece EXACTLY in function as the "stock" you removed! SORRY but its just a stock of a different design. Real pistol braces were meant for disabled to provide support. If anyone regardless of arm length can shoulder it and fire it then its an SBR . As insane as Id have to say they are correct if they said this is in violation and Id not rusk my liberty by doing this mod

You ok? You seem to be upset at the wrong person. I simply am following ATF guidelines to what they call a “brace”. Personally do not care what your opinion is nor am I here to argue about what should be or not be a brace, stock, or SBR. I am following all laws according to the pistol brace rule and showing how I did my modifications. If you have issues about the pistol brace rule you may want to contact the ATF and tell them your concerns and support of them.

So the su-651 can be directly attached to the plr-16…just remove takedown pin and remove the screws that hinge the grip? Does the kit have all the trigger group in it….I’m in Canada, so we can add the complete kit without the brace.

@@TheWildKellephant yes that is correct, you have to push the pin out near the trigger but it’s no big deal. Once the screws are out I just tapped the pin until it came all the way out. That frees the lower trigger group and you simply install the new one.
