This is so fucking iconic. This was Kelly’s legend solidifying moment, she played it soooo brilliantly. Not a lot of people that came after her were able to pull off keeping an idol completely secret from everyone (even her dwindling alliance members). And then the cherry on top is Abbi being a complete menace and rubbing savage’s face in it. It may not be “nice” but it’s so entertaining and cut-throat, and those are things that lack in the recent seasons. It’s okay to bring us a villain, that’s what makes survivor…survivor.

I was thinking about this today. Imagine if Kelley knew 100% that she was getting all of the votes. Her, Ciera and Abi could have all voted for 3 separate people, forcing a 3 way tie between members of the majority alliance (after her idol play). Then the majority alliance would have to flip on each other. Total chaos.

My favorite idol play of all time. Her second idol play was almost as good. Also, she canceled nine votes, pretty sure that's a record. And the chaos (sorry, Kass) that ensued after her second idol play was priceless, and will probably force a change in the tie-breaker rules. After she pulled that off, I was rooting for her to win.

Honestly i have always wondered what happens if no one gets any views. Really glad i got my answer in season 31. Now the only unanswered questions for me is what happens if there is a tie in the FTC. I have watched the first 33 seasons so far and there had unfortunately not been a single tie lol

Idk the shot in the dark twist feels different from an idol play. With an idol, there aren't many around, you have to work for it, you can keep it a secret and it's not a game of chance.

+Samuel Valor - Reyes I think they didn't have much faith in their group. I mean, we see it in the next Tribal Council, an alliance of 9 is not very solid. If they had split the vote and the girls had managed to get two people to flip (which is not unlikely), they would have failed. Apparently they thought it was more likely that people were gonna flip than Kelley having an idol. Which was stupid, it was 9 to 3, they should have split the votes. Happy that they didn't though, Kelley rocks :D

Look, I know the most iconic tribal council plays probably go to Parvati, but this was definitely one of the most badass and rivals those ones for sure. I mean, when I saw this the first time, it felt the same as when Ozzy and Alexis were blindsided in Micronesia, Parv's double idol play in HvV, and pretty much every other iconic idol play or blindside.

Kelley would not have beaten Jeremy in final jury. Let's say she takes Tasha's spot on jury. Jeremy gets locked votes of Tasha, Fishback, Stephen, Kelly and he heavily leans Kimmi. Kelley gets Ciera, Kass, Keith and leans Abi although I don't think Abi is even as big of a lock as people think. Let's just say she gets Abi's vote. Joe then is kinda in the middle where he can tie the vote for Kelley or give Jeremy the win and although I think he's more likely to give Jeremy the win even if he ties it for Kelley, Spencer will vote Jeremy.
