Thanks to your videos, I am actually getting a little better eye-hand coordination and I’m so happy to be drawing, not a skill I have ever developed. I appreciate it a lot that you don’t try to be perfect and that your soothing assurances are so encouraging for someone like me who would be intimidated by the precision of activities like this. Yesterday I followed another of your videos which had a leaf and some raindrops. Hubby happened to catch a glimpse of it finished and he said, “You drew that?? the droplets look real.” That was a great moment of joy for me and the thanks belongs to you

Hi! I just draw these to relax! When I want to work longer, I will draw this over and over and then add other tangle patterns with it. Sometimes I draw them on journals or cards, but mostly it’s just my way of relaxing. Many people use them in their own creative ventures and sell products with these designs on them.

Lol! I totally fell asleep watching you do this; your quiet calm, voice!!! I've watched several videos and all of then were done on those little cards . . . Is Zentangle a form of Japanese art would you know ?
@KelliBlouin4 ай бұрын
I don't believe it is, however, many of the artists who design tangles are from Japan! The creators of the Zentangle method are from the US, but have traveled all over the world looking at architecture, fabrics, nature, and art work to find these beautiful patterns!

So far my attempts look awful and i am stressed beyond belief. I still have no idea how to do this and I am ready to toss my sharpie and art book in the trash. Is there a special paper or pen to use to keep things from looking like crap?
@KelliBlouin Жыл бұрын
Oh, no! Maybe try another video or take a beginner class with someone near you. You can find instructors on Zentanlge.com. Keep trying! A good micron pen and drawing paper make a difference.
