Why don't you do just the reverse that you did to the Boxster project ? Of coarse you would need a locking system if it is not attached to the wind screen , but with a roll bar and a 1in. tube rib cage on the structure of the roof it will also reduce Flopping wile driving . It will also let you get into it better .
