It will hurt the show if Adam leaves. There's a reason he and Blake haven't been swapped with other artists throughout the seasons. They are permanent fixtures because people genuinely love them. However, I fully understand Adam or Blake wanting a break from the show. But, ratings *will* drop should one step away for a season.

yeah thats true there were articles being published that this show is already beating American Idol in the ratings. 11.4 million tuned into this show and 8.4 million tuned into American Idol, but both shows are on Monday nights, which probably will be not a good idea.

i'm guessing it was just a bunch of rumors so whoever published the articles would make some money, but i can see why Adam would leave cause between having 2 kids, doing the show, and a tour starting next month, that is a lot. but i read that him and wife just bought a house from the creator of NBC's hit show Will and Grace that went for like 13 million so he could use that little extra money from The Voice.
