Women are the ones who file 80% of the time, and while obviously many are probably well justified, it would appear to be treated more often by women as a convenience, or easy way out. If the woman in question is a millionaire celebrity, can't she afford to at least try long term counseling? Men, mostly, are the ones "going through" a divorce.

My step dad was amazing though and was there for me so I feel I was pretty lucky regardless of losing my birth dad who blamed my mom for everything and was never there for me. Stay strong. I was a kid of divorce. My momma and daddy did what was best and still are good friends to this day. Putting the kids first will always be the right way, their little hearts will be confused but it’s better than living with two unhappy people always!

This!! What you said at the end there! Yes divorce is hard let’s acknowledge that. But what’s even worse is remaining together just “for the sake of the kids“. I know because I lived it. My parents stayed together for that reason- and my sister and I would have had a much healthier and happier upbringing had they just gone their separate ways. Kids always fare better in a healthy environment over a toxic one. even if it means their parents are no longer together. Remaining together for that reason only is one of the worst things you can possibly do. This is why I get so fired up when I hear people say Things like “ oh try to make it work for the kids“ ... wrong! People like that are honestly clueless. If the marriage is irrrepairable, the best thing you can do is move on and let your kids live in a more stable, loving environment.

@@mumuniamida7815 I see it as she fell in love with him got married and had his kids... not to mention she still refers to him as her husband in a couple episodes of the show after they announced their divorce. She obviously loves him and they will always be in each others lives forever. Just cause they are divorcing doesn't mean hes a bad person. For one we dont know what caused it. Second, shit happens. Sometimes things just fall apart and that's ok. As long as they are happy and more importantly the kids are happy. They both come from divorced parents and thankfully these days there are resources and tools to help the kids through it. Unlike how it was for us growing up and bottling all our emotions inside and not knowing how to express those feelings as well as identifying the feelings and finding healthy ways to work through them.

I also come from a divorced family so yes, protect your children's hearts cause they will carry this experience for life so make sure they understand the situation. Unlike my experience, you both are still involved in your kids' lives. My dad chose to walk away. Thankfully, my mom took great care of my sister and I so we didn't get too messed up 🤣 jokes aside, treasure their little hearts ❤️❤️
