No see the point here is that Halo had just come out and the label wanted to release Already Gone but Kelly didn't want to because she thought the critics were compare it to Halo too much. Kelly lost, the labeled released it and it was heavily compared to Halo. So she's just making a joke about it here!

Already Gone is much better than Halo. I don't like Beyonce's music but I can't deny that she's got a great singing voice. I like Kelly because she's famous for her talent and not what she wears like most female singers these days.

You guys must not have heard Ryan's demo of Halo, the same track he gave to Beyonce to sing over, she change the song without him knowing and made it sound a lot more like Halo. Look it up on KZbin, they sound nothing alike. Hence, it wasn't Ryan's fault. Why are people giving me thumbs down?

you have that the other way around. ryan didn't just do the demo. he produced and mixed already gone and the whole thing was completely done BEFORE beyonce's cd ever came out so there is no way kelly could have "made it sound alot more like halo" as you say. once kelly realized the comparison she and her music director changed the live production to sound less like halo, she said this in a vid after her letterman performance

This version doesn't sound like Halo. But I did a drag performance of Already Gone last week and the "girl" before me did Beyonce's Halo. It was totally unplanned on our part. She went first. I went right after her. They started my music and stopped it a few moments later because they thought it was the beginning of the previous performers cd, (HALO) So case and point even someone who didn't know about the controversy thought it was the same song at first before Kelly started singing.

Oh no! I'm not saying that Kelly changed any of this! I was talking about Beyonce. I know that Kelly's song came first and all, I'm just saying that after Ryan did Already Gone he didn't go and give B the same 'track to write to' as people keep saying, Ryan wrote Halo for Leona, he'd made the demo and Leona heard it and like it, but couldn't do it, so he gave that demo to Beyonce and she changed it up a bit. Halo didn't sound anything like Already Gone until she and her peeps were done with it.
