..when a "mediocre" fun song actually turns into a good tune..into a real piece of music. Kelly is awesome...she has this magic only true musicians and artists have. And her voice is un-fuckin-believable, so good. She could sing the dictionary back and forth and it'd sound amazing, I'd listen to that all day ;). Thanks for posting.

its actually harder to make pop songs with barley any vocals to sound good.. i honestly dont know she does it.. shes amazing :O i love these videos of her covering simple songs and making them sound incrediable

Correct? I meant that the song "Call Me Maybe" has a similar structure to both "Since U Been Gone" and "My Life Would Suck Without You" since the verses require the vocalist to sing at a lower register and then belt during the chorus. Just noticed how effortlessly strong Kelly sings both the verses and refrain as opposed to CRJ, who kind of relies on the chorus to save the song.

I could actually hear this being a Kelly original released during the "Since U Been Gone/My Life Would Suck" eras. She can actually sing the verses with some oomph instead of relying on the chorus to succeed, which is what I feel Carly Rae does, but 2 complete diff voices.
