For the people confused on how we "talk" in numbers Arabic has it's own alphabet... For example كنتحداك is written in arabic language, translated to english it means "i dare you" and written in English as "kent7edek" the number represents a letter in arabic that doesn't exist in the English alphabet, so instead we use a number to represent it. "Writing in numbers" is called Franko-Arabic, basically it's the formal way of typing arabic language using English alphabet. Obviously you can't use it when you're reporting news or something because Franko is used formally, instead you use the arabic alphabet. Here are a few example of Arabic letters and what number represents them: 7 = ح 3 = ع 2 = ق \ أ 5 = خ 6 = ط 8 = غ 9 = ق Hope that was useful 💜

For everybody thats in a discussion whether its Arabic or Moroccan: its Moroccan-Arabic (also called darija), but since its so different from the classic Arabic language people consider Darija as an own language. Its a dialect of Arabic, but consists of many Amazigh, French and Spanish words and is spoken in North-Africa 😁

just to note , this song is in classic arabic except for some lyrics are in moroccan dialect but mostly classic arabic .She moved from Casablanca to Canada when she was 8 years old that's why she has an english or a frensh accent when she speaks the moroccan dialect or classic arabic but also she sings the classic arabic with a moroccan pronunciation because she is just used to moroccan since classic arabic is not used for communication . Some people here say it's a moroccan dialect just because of the moroccan accent and pronounciation of the classic arabic, so they count it moroccan dialect because in all arabic dialect we tend to integrate words from classic arabic or even other languages, but pronounce it with our accent and pronounciation to express ourselfs more, since it's a dialect it's not rich like the language or just because of getting influenced by your job, education, environnement, social class, intrests ...

I love the fact that the Moroccan "accent" is written with latin letters. These are the letters Moroccans and other north africans write when texting in their "accent". North africans today have this very distinct "accent" yet we still consider it to be just a dialect ! It's heavily influenced by Native north African languages, French, Spanish and even Turkish. I really think north africans should realise this and have their unique identity as modern North Africans with their own rich mediterranean culture and distinct language and who are ethnically neither arabs nor berbers but just mixed South Mediterraneans, they should start using their new language officially take their language and culture seriously and be proud of who they are. I think the first step to make this language official is to translate their Arabic religious texts into their "Darija". Can't wait to see that happening.

Hey i'm moroccan u should know morocco has moroccan darija and we can understand all the arabic accents but actually they can't understand us cause we have a different accent mixed from spanish and french and berber and some of arabic ...and don't forget that we are in North Africa so we are far from Arab culture We have an open culture with the West We have a variety of Moroccan dialects from one region to another in to Berber dialects And the Amazigh language ...You should study on the Moroccan state. You will find that it is different and very far from the culture of other Arab countries. You should study on the Moroccan state. @@mahdigourmat7203 its actually the case in Algeria too so the guy isnt completely wrong it's just that each contry refuse to admit thier similarities or try to claim the darija as hers only , I personally think that the fact each region have her own dialect makes it difficult to unfie the peoples of the same country so we are still very far from unifying the north africa

The first step would be to recognize Darija as an official language of morocco (as Amazigh and Standard Arabic now). As a Moroccan this is a mixture of classical arabic and dominated with darija (Moroccan Arabic dialect) and there is also word like "Azoun" we don't say it with Z and we don't even use much and it isn't said also like this in classical Arabic "adoun" but it is used in middle eastern dialect like in Egypt. So this is a cocktail dominated with Faouzia's native dialect, Moroccan. PROUD OF YOU FAOUZIA!
