I'm not a Kelly Clarkson fan. Never really got exposed to much of her music being from 3rd world Asia. I'm here now because this song was on Doom Patrol. It just clicked. It just all made sense. Suddenly realized i'm not alone. That this fight isn't just me against the world. That there others out there like me, all struggling to make it work. Thank you Ms. Clarkson, for giving this middle aged guy a new perspective.

This song continues to be an anthem for me. First I spent years fighting Stage 4A Ductal Prostate Cancer. Went into remission ten months ago but still dealing with horrible side effects from treatments. I was beginning to get a handle on them when three weeks ago they found an egg sized brain tumor. Not looking for pity or sympathy. Just letting others know how powerful Kelly’s songs are for those fighting for their life. Now listening to this song and “Stronger” as I gear up to go into the arena and fight this new beast.

I feel you. I had AML and ALL at two I was meant to die over night. I was two years old at the time. I’m now 18 and still deal with the side affects. It gets better. You grow used to the side affects and realize you wouldn’t change any of this for the world because it makes you strong and helps relationships.

Kelly's an amazing singer. She has stood the test of time because most winners of reality talent shows release one album and single and then you don't hear from them thereafter. Ten years on and Kelly's still producing good music. Kelly Clarkson FTW!

This song is empowering. My parents abused me until I was 6, then I was put in foster care. In elementary I had a hard time making friends. I made no friends, until middle school. My foster parents put me into a private school for misfits like me. I made friends with just about everyone in the whole school because we all have something in common. Now I'm going to be in 8th grade in September, and this is my school's anthem. We're living in a world on fire. We are misfits, but that's alright.

lyrics : We come into this world unknown But know that we are not alone They try and knock us down But change is coming, it's our time now Hey… everybody loses it, Everybody wants to throw it all away sometimes And hey… yeah I know what you're going through Don't let it get the best of you, you'll make it out alive Oh People like us, we've gotta stick together Keep your head up, nothing lasts forever Here's to the damned, to the lost and forgotten It's hard to get high when you're living on the bottom Oh whoa oh oh whoa oh We are all misfits living in a world on fire Oh whoa oh oh whoa oh Sing it for the people like us, the people like us Hey, this is not a funeral It's a revolution, after all your tears have turned to rage Just wait, everything will be okay Even when you're feeling like it's going down in flames Oh People like us, we've gotta stick together Keep your head up nothing lasts forever Here's to the damned, to the lost and forgotten It's hard to get high when you're living on the bottom Oh whoa oh oh whoa oh We are all misfits living in a world on fire Oh whoa oh oh whoa oh Sing it for the people like us, the people like us Oh whoa oh oh whoa oh You've just gotta turn it up loud when the flames get higher Oh whoa oh oh whoa oh Sing it for the people like us, the people like us They can't do nothing to you, they can't do nothing to me This is the life that we choose, this is the life that we bleed So throw your fists in the air, come out, come out if you dare Tonight we're gonna change forever Everybody loses it, everybody wants to throw it all away sometimes Oh People like us, we've gotta stick together Keep your head up nothing lasts forever Here's to the damned, to the lost and forgotten It's hard to get high when you're living on the bottom Oh whoa oh oh whoa oh We are all misfits living in a world on fire Oh whoa oh oh whoa oh Sing it for the people like us, the people like us Oh whoa oh oh whoa oh You've just got to turn it up loud when the flames get higher Oh whoa oh oh whoa oh Sing it for the people like us, the people like us Oh whoa oh oh whoa oh We're all misfits living in a world on fire Oh whoa oh oh whoa oh Sing it for the people like us, the people like us Oh whoa oh oh whoa oh You've just got to turn it up loud when the flames get higher Oh whoa oh oh whoa oh Sing it for the people like us, the people like us

I got bullied from 4-6th grade and it was horrible having kids AND teachers who didn't believe in me and said I wouldn't be anything and that I was alone in this world. That when this song came out I started to realize that I wasn't alone, that I had friends who went through the same thing and needed the same love, so Everytime I'd hear this I'd stay strong and be friendly to everyone because I know how hard it is for people to be hurt and feeling like there's not future for you. I've since then gotten stronger and made friends with people who are hurting to make them stronger.

This year no one diserves the Grammy's attention better than Kelly. The album "Stronger" could have given way more than it did, if good music played on the radio. I seriously don't believe that I live in times which Flo Rida charts better than such a singer and woman! I hope the rumors are true, and Kelly is performing at Grammy's. Moreover, hope she ends the night awarded.

Kelly has also embraced being different. She is secure in who she is and has never tried to deny what a dork she is, back in her pigtails running around saying "Cool Beans," all the time and shit. She is an original and she embraces that. While it may not be a powerhouse vocal, you don't need to show off your voice EVERY song.
