As a German 2 things surprised me: 1. that Käse Essen suddenly appeared 2. that people don‘t know what biathlon is??? is that not a thing in the US??? i literally grew up watching winter sports like skiing and snowboarding on TV JUST as much as biathlons. and it‘s not a main sport here… but still everyone knows what it is.

Skijoring still kind of happens. In Austria they ski behind motorbikes. It’s complete madness! Even small children do it. I imagine it still happens with horses somewhere but it definitely happens with motor bikes.
