I've been a long time fan of Kelly's and I bought My December (which by the way, is criminally underated as an album) on the day it was released. When this song came on, it gave me chills and moved me to tears as three months earlier, I had miscarried my first child and I do not exaggerate when I say how much this beautiful song helped me heal. My husband and I were driving and we just held hands as I cried and Kelly sang. I did pick all my weeds and kept the flowers as this devestating event made my marriage stronger as we supported each other. We now have two beautiful children who are wonderful. Sober is still such a special song to me so thank you, Kelly, for putting my pain and my healing into words xxxx

I heard this song only recently and it is so sad that her album My December wasn’t promoted in the slightest, because she is such a talented songwriter as well as a singer. So glad she has more power over her career now with Atlantic! She is such an inspirational person, love you Kelly ❤️
