She is insanely talented and I know she's a music director as well so she's not a backup singer alone. And I don't even want to call her that because she's way better than a backup singer

@@jenniwilliams3295 omg, I've said that same thing! She's just incredible and it makes me a little mad she's not in the spotlight. I can't get enough of her voice. Edit: she is Kelly's vocal director, though. Jason is the music director.

Jessi Collins is not just a backup singer. She is phenomenally talented by herself. And honestly Kelly is super lucky to have her because as Kelly pointed out she's a lot to keep up with not just her vocal talent but the fact that she does switch up breaths and notes she's not afraid to pull back if she doesn't have it or push if she does. And somehow magically Jessi always knows. They did lighthouse on her show and there's a point at the end if you listen to the studio version you can hear Kelly in the background just singing these super high notes. When they perform it live it switches to Jesse singing the chorus and Kelly doing the high notes and you literally didn't notice right away no one did It took a good second to realize that Kelly wasn't singing the words anymore She was just nailing insanely high notes.

go watch their Lighthouse performance on Jimmy Fallon. It's even better. Legit my favorite version of Lighthouse they've ever done - it feels more like a duet and I'm totally here for it.

But to your point, Jessi is incredible. I've been hoping she would start recording music on her own. Or at least doing live gigs. Jessi Collins is too good to not be letting her talent shine on its own. It makes me kinda mad!
