The Gilliam family headed by McLaurin Briggs Gilliam had access to video equipment as early as the 1950s. McLaurin Briggs Jr continued the documentation of family activities via home movies in the 1970s and beyond. We use to have family movie nights in the 1980s. At some point these home videos were bulk transferred to VHS and DVD. This project seeks to protect these videos by converting to a newer video format and uploading to the KZbin cloud via a new Gilliam Family Films channel. We hope to expand this to a centralized vault of Gilliam family movies and such.
