As someone who has claustrophobia, it isn't just a fear of closed in spaces but being trapped, not being able to get out or to breathe. Wearing a mask can be suffocating. However, I ALWAYS wear my mask no matter what bc my health and the health of everyone else is more important than my personal comfort. Honestly if a regular mask is too confining you don't even have to wear one, you can wear one of those clear ones that go over your head. They are kind of like a face shield. She wouldn't dream of it though bc it wouldn't be fashionable and looks way more ridiculous than a regular old mask.
