Kelly was on form that day with his power wheelies etc , people can be over the top in their praise of Kelly but I watched him from 1978 ,at Hull and after some horrendous injuries at Hackney he became a truly world class rider who on his day could beat anyone. and was always great value on the track and In the bar....

Best track in the world , kings Lynn , lee , Jessup, Betts , Simmons , Turner loved watching the test matches against the Americans cowboy cook my favourite American , Schwartz , moran bros , king , cook , Miller , sudden Sam , Dennis and Bruce all gentlemen, always took time to interact with the kids

My boys were "the bees'' ... it never stops amazing me where all the dpeedway fans disappeared too.. coventry, kings lynn, leicester, b'ham, peterborough and all the others used to be packed, now they are either gone💀 or only have a hand full of fans now.. 😢😢😢 R.I.P. british speedway😢😢😢
