I am just like Kelly! I am a former flight attendant for one of the major carriers. I found that I like training more than the actual job itself. now I use my travel knowledge and I work at home booking corporate travel for others. I bought a beautiful house in Las Vegas. And I have never regretted my decision.

I know a couple who are both flight attendants (one I think is a flight attendant for the same airline as you Stella) and have two kids. The wife works during the week and the husband during the weekend so someone is always here with their kids. They have been flight attendants for a long time and seem to make it work well. I can see the benefits for them and their family but I can also see how hard it is.

Kelly was right, the thing you miss the most is the free flights. I worked many years with an airline, got out sourced, but left with free flights for life, so being out sourced wasn't the best thing, but having the freedom to fly, and on top of it, it is free, except for the taxes is the best thing. You non rev, and just hope there is a seat on the trip.

My little sister is a flight attendant for AA for 5 years now, stationed in DC. It's a glamorous life for her but behind the scenes, she is seriously broke and finds it difficult to stay afloat with the pay. How do u budget yourself Stella? P.s. love your channel

Lisa: It is quite obvious that Stella with her good looks and charming personality doesn't have to budget ; she has managed to get hold of a highly qualified man who is more than able to take care of her financially if need be! Yes you are right, flight attendant don't make the kind of money that they used to back in the day. Your sister is not the only flight attendant that is struggling even though she works for a legacy airline which pays way more than regional and discount airlines. BUT she can!!……..all she needs to do is become a minimalist and/or ensnare a rich man who would be willing to dole money on her. Believe it or not back in the 70s and 80s that was the main reason women became a flight attendant: to get hold of a great guy to marry. Ironically those days are long gone because the quality of flight attendants in U.S. airlines has gone WAY DOWN!! Most flight attendants simply don't have the same class, charm and attraction that they used to decades ago.

To be fair, most jobs aren't great at pay when you first start out and seniority and specialization is always going to be a factor in most career fields. I'm waiting to be a flight attendant but I have a little over a year until I'm 21. I'm using the time to become more fluent in French so that I can use that as a hiring benefit.

Stella, my wife and I just, today, got back from Vegas. Buy your booze at the walgreens across the street from Planet hollywood. I spent $30 on three drinks at the hotel. I was able to buy a whole bottle of booze at walgreens for the same price. For an affordable breakfast, go to La salsa mexican cantina in Planet Hollywood. They are extremely affordable and delicious. Also, go to Eggslut in the Cosmopolitan Hotel across the street. You won't regret it, delicious. Let me know how you guys like it.
