Kelly's Heroes is by far one of my favorite World War II films, even though none of the events depicted in the movie ever happened, except the Americans were fighting Nazi Germany in Europe. Still, this is one of Clint Eastwood's best films with a great supporting cast. Don Rickles in the movie was correct in saying ..."Robbing a Bank behind Enemy Lines could be the Perfect Crime, who's going to know...???"

@@timothycrowne3193 Don't forget scenes like the captain telling the company "Remember; no looting!" while driving away with a yacht he got his hands on. Hard to believe I was 15 when this came out. I remember every boy in the neighborhood lining up to see this. Even in 1970 we knew the cast was really something special. The characters they played were perfect real personality fits. For me the most memorable scene was Odd Ball leading the tanks out of the tunnel and blowing up the German freight train station, blasting away to a country song I still to this day do not know and ending with "I've been working on the railroad". I've got to find this on Blu-Ray. They don't make'em like they use to!!!!!

This was Clint Eastwood at his coolest ! Just an incredible cast & never a dull moment ! My favorite war/robbery heist/ comedy ... just discribing the movie puts it in a class by itself ... they just do not put movies like this together anymore. Also love the Mike Curb "Kelly"s Heroes" movie theme song ... always brings a smile to myself with happy memories ! 😅 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Great tune and awesome movie! If you haven't seen it before, highly recommended. A true 1970s all-star cast, too: Clint Eastwood, Telly Savalis, Don Rickles, Donald Sutherland and Carroll O'Connor. Edit: RIP to the magnificent Donald Sutherland.

I saw this film in the cinema with my brother in law, his 50 anniversary was today. I lost my wallet in the cinema all those years ago. Went back the next day and got it back intact. Great film fantastic sound track. The cast is brilliant. Up there with the best movies. The shots in this clip of some great actors are bloody fantastic 😊

My dad, who just passed in November of 2022, was a war buff, but only 10 and tried to join WW II. They told dad, a kid then, by the time he could join, that hopefully the war would be over. It was. He'd seen this movie tons of times. When I got older, in my teens, and watched it with him one night on the late movie, he told me during the commercial break to listen to the song they play on the tank as Sutherland and crew bomb the railway station. I was still kinda young. I said what about it. His words: "That's Hank Williams, jr. Hell, that song wasn't around during WW II. He recorded that in like the late 1950s or 1960s." I never looked up the year when it was, but dad was right. When "Sunshine" by Hank, jr was recorded, it certainly wasn't played in the war. I'll have to look up when. Miss dad a lot. He died at age 88. R.I.P. dad.
