ok, but in this particular case I would say that it's the song that lends itself to an acoustic version... Not all rock and metal music lends itself to melodic harmonies... I don't think "Disposable Heroes" or "Battery" or the vast majority of Metallica's compositions sound the same way on a classical guitar. This does not mean, however, that it is noise for those who do not appreciate...

Incredible! Even this superlative fails to capture the grandeur of what this guy does! He does 2 guitar parts, vocal parts, percussion AND switches tuning, all while putting his own style, while retaining the heart of the song. Blew my mind, friend! Theres actually scientific studies that support this. People who listen to metal, especially melodic metal and people who listen to classical area more able to pick out the nuances within the moving parts within the music.

I love how you just kept the main line the same in the opening. It’s a perfect little chord progression with the phrasing it uses. Hetfield is an underrated acoustic player and composer of chord progressions. He’s not just a riff master. He really has a taste for melody and phrasing.

There are moments in Metallica's classic period: this song, One, To Live is To Die, where parts of the arrangements are like...somehow early 20th century American Gothic in origin. They were very a deep band on those first few records.
