Back in the late 80's I had a huge crush on Kelly and went every concert I could and even kept a picture of her pinned to my old dashboard of my Bonneville and it made my girlfriend so jealous. I even met her once at the state fair of Louisiana and I was a bumbling idiot but she just chuckled and smiled at me.

They think if they throw the words whiskey and cowboy in it makes what is a pop song, a country song!
@chuckyufarley29994 жыл бұрын
It's all Kurt Cobain's fault. Well, him and Garth effing Brooks. Grunge killed hair bands. Power ballads made chicks all fluttery. Some wizbang on music row decided to market country to all those chicks who weren't getting their power ballad fixes. GB's concerts turned into Super Bowl halftime shows and eventually all the bright lights and flashy, shiny objects began to convince casual observers that the music was actually country, actually good. Then along came American Idol and the idiot masses had every last vestige of good taste stripped from their collective ability to identify good music. The End.
@thelakeman52074 жыл бұрын
@@Mattea68 Today, you don't hear fiddles, dobro, steel guitars and not even a cowboy hat! How about the Nudie suits? They probably went out of business from lack of sales. Now, they dress like bums with tattoos. This was all associated with Country Music.

That "new traditionalist" movement of that time, ramrodded by Randy Travis and George Strait among others, was probably the last gasp of classic country before the infamous "Murder on Music Row" when country was replaced by hick-hop.

The same folks that own the record companies own the radio stations folks! They rolled into Nashville and ruined it all. How? The corporate music machine TELLS you what you will like. Red Dirt music, Texas music, need not apply. This is why the singers on the radio all sound the same. The songs are very similar, and that is what you get. Thank God for internet. We can find REAL country outside the Khazarian banker's control.
