You have a great video. I was an accountant. You do not need a business license right away. You can backdate everything end of year. Also a sole proprietorship for this makes you vulnerable to lawsuits, so if you can afford it, get an LLC and protect your personal assets. This is highly recommended in the state of CA. Everyone here is very sue happy. We're also in a pandemic, so trying to get a loan through the SBA is a HUGE waiting line at the moment. I know, because I have processed many applications that are still waiting since fall 2020 to be funded.
