I don't see how BH 90210 missed out on winning an Emmy during the early seasons. Seasons 1-3 are really awesome & before Shannen left in S4, 90210 was a damn-near perfect prime-time soap opera. Season 3 was DEFINITELY Emmy worthy. Great storytelling, some stand out acting, fine directing, lots of heartfelt drama & loads of fun. I was 12 yrs old when the show started in 1990 & I grew up with 90210. It holds a special place in my heart. There will never be another show quite like it.

Yeah, Aaron Spelling, the father of Tori Spelling, a genius, the writers, it takes a lot of talent to think up all these ideas. Also yes, the people who watch the show, the ratings. Also the casting directors, you discover the talent, recruit them, audition them, it’s a lot. Make up people, wardrobe, it is a lot of work that goes behind the scenes.

When you have people from every corner complimenting you and treating you like royalty it'll mess with your head and you begin to think your voice matters more than others. This show and the spanish soap opera or tv novela Kassandra from the spanish network were my favorites from 1992 to 1993. Oh I also remember the comedy show with Martin Lawrence, Martin. It was the funniest sitcom out there! Martin was funny as hell. I remember I was hooked and taped episodes of these programs. Their stories were suspenseful and unique with beautiful actors to look at. Not much like it after so many years. But I look back and though they were entertaining shows, they lacked a bit of reality. I think Sex and the City, Sopranos, and Empire were the greatest primetime shows in the past 25 years, touching base on deeper issues faced by society. If 90210 came out today, it wouldn't be as popular. It all depends on target audience. But I still like the actors of 90210. All down to earth! I grew up watching them. They are a small part of my youth. RIP Luke Perry and Shannon Doherty.

Oh the 90’s the cartoons were teenage mutant ninja turtles or Alvin and the chipmunks, Beverly Hills, 90210, the movies, from Terminator 2 to Titanic, in politics you had the Clintons, in war there was Somalia, gas was very cheap, fashion, you had high tops with baggy jeans, the belly ring and tounge ring were coming in, technology wise it was who had the best CD player and beeper, haircut was the fade, girls let their hair down, bikinis were everywhere. Informer was the song. A million more things I’m leaving out.

It was a great show until after college. They should have ended it there. It was much better when they were in high school. The show at the end ended up being all about Brandon.
