From her interview with BBC, and other East African medias. She said she learnt Swahili when she moved to Dar es salaam, Tanzania with her dad. Years later she went to college in the United States. It is not a difficult language and it will assist a great deal with free trade between nations unlike relying on colonial masters languages. If you are nguni or sesotho speaking or understanding these languages, it will be easy to grasp Kiswahili since some words are the same and have the same meaning. We are one African nation and migration of our fore fathers made our languages to change somehow. It is advisable to learn as many languages possible, that will be like adding an additional person in you per language.
