The Chicks are set to hit the road for the first time since releasing their latest album "Gaslighter" in 2020, and this time around they will be performing alongside their kids! The Chicks share their excitement about performing live again, and share some of the places they're most looking forward to playing. The Chicks also dish on the first time they played together, their country radio boycott 19 years ago, and the decision to change their band name.

I just saw them in concert in Bend Or. they were AMAZING!!!!! And I So Loved how they Embraced the issues that effect us all as women and they speak for me in their values and politics. With no fear! I went with my three sisters and our husbands. We Danced. We sang along. We laughed. We Cried! We hugged each other as we all felt the songs. Very impactful and the talent is just enormous. It wasn’t just a concert to us. It was much much more. And I’m so grateful I got to share that experience with my sisters. The Chicks speak for so so many of us. Thank you 🙏. And Natalie’s Dad played on my CD so I feel a connection there which is really cool. Plus knowing Susan Gibson etc … cool Austin music vibes❤️

I absolutely LOVE The Chicks! Years ago I was in an abusive relationship and Goodbye Earl got me through it (no I didn't do anything physical to him it just gave me the strength to walk away). It gave me the strength to say the relationship had to die and my next chapter of my life needed to start. I also loved singing it in karaoke bars. My best friend would tease me about it for years. I'm right there with you as I've done the same. I had to get up one morning, packed my stuff & left to go about 900 miles away and I haven't looked back except to show how strong I was and still am today. At times , we are the only person that can help ourselves while others may not support or ignore certain facts etc. I'm happy now & have been for over 22 yrs now. i lost many people along the way but am a better person etc.. I'm happy to see there are strong women out there that aren't afraid of doing certain things and taking the reigns. Best of luck & love. 😀

Thank goodness my family was very supportive, his obviously not so much. But I wasn't thinking about them I was thinking about my 3 year old daughter (not his) and myself. Though I hated what happened I am so much stronger and I am who I am because of it. Because of what I went through I was able to help one friend out of an abusive relationship and she is now happily married and tried helping another friend but unfortunately she passed away before she was able to get out of his reach. That is my one of my top 3 songs of theirs!! I couldn't stop playing it all those years ago when I heard it on their CD at the time. My dad was physically abusive to my mom (luckily they got divorced before I could form any memories of that), but my brother was physically and very mentally abusive to me growing up. Only my closest friends understood that it was not a case of "oh all brothers tease their little sisters" crap. He terrorized our whole household and is now unfortunately an abusive husband. This song (and video) helped me feel so much stronger about the situation, and I love how they were creative enough to make a horrible situation into a song and video with humor!! My kids loved the song too and would dance to it, having no idea what it was really about. They are now adults and my son is taking me to their concert tomorrow night for my birthday and my daughter sent me a video last night of people doing karaoke at a bar she was at singing Goodbye Earl!! 🤣❤️

I was one of those people that walked around for years saying "I'm not a fan of Country music (forgetting that I watched Hee Haw religiously as a child and liked several "old school" Country artist like Dolly Parton, Barbara Mandrell, & The Oak Ridge Boys). Then 20+ years ago I kept seeing an advertisement commercial for a Dixie Chicks TV Special that was going to be coming on soon, so I decided to watch that special. Long story short. I fell in love with their music. I was so in awe of their voices/harmonies and overall musical skills so I went right out and bought the album/CD "Fly". I couldn't stop playing it. To this day "Fly" is one of my all time favorite albums. That's saying a lot considering I enjoy a ton of artist from different music genres. When things got rough for the Chicks I didn't abandon them and I'm still a huge Chicks fan today! 🙂

Once upon a time I was on a roadtrip, a long one. Just me and my dog. We were on our way home so I was driving late into the night and needed to stay alert, so singing along with The Chicks was a go to. My dog, Tyrone, loved The Chicks.
