I`m probably one of the very few people on planet Earth who hasn`t seen every friends episode (still love what i have seen:)..Everybody loves Raymond however ,is one of my all time favourite shows ,which we got in the Uk slightly later.Then ,whilst caring for my mum ,we would watch ot every day.She also loved it and found it so relatable! Great shows ,great casts:)

I’ve rewatched Friends many many times… I did try to finally watch other shows and earlier in year finally got round to watching King of Queens… which I loved and parts of there relationship reminded me of my own… still haven’t gotten round to watching Everyone Loves Raymond.. years ago when we were watching tv more rather than apps.. I’d watch an episode here or there, but never watched it all!… maybe one day..

There's absolutely no comparison. Folks on here might anecdotally like ELR, but the way that "Friends" contributed to the cultural zeitgeist, with words and catch-phrases, cultural phenomena, trend-setting, and more, the impact of that show is just tremendous.

They are both funny shows, but Everybody Loves Raymond is WAY more realistic and relatable. Friends is about a found family, whereas Everybody Loves Raymond is about a dysfunctional family trying to get along and peacefully coexist.

Advent isn't just about calendars with little goodies. Advent was a time of anticipating Christmas and different types of abstinence were used to build spiritual strength. In many countries meat was abstained from but not fish. Fish dishes became traditional for the Vigil before Christmas/Christmas Eve. For me, eating most fish takes a little spiritual or at least mental endurance to get through, but then I think of Jesus feeding the multitude with loaves and fishes and that context makes it a good tradition to me.

Everybody Loves Raymond by a long shot is funnier. It’s my comfort show. I know every episode and I never get tired of it. Friends on the other hand was so corny and just a very watered down version of Living Single I couldn’t force myself to watch. It was so white & unfunny 🤷🏾‍♀️

I adore Friends. Have rewatched it at least 100 times. No joke, but Everybody Loves Raymond is funnier. Friends is funny, to me, because of how invested in the characters I was. I felt I personally knew them and their quirks and life challenges. Everybody Loves Raymond had funny jokes with clever punchlines. It’s definitely more of a comedic show. I don’t view Friends as a comedic show, really. More wholesome and feel-good.

Rarely ever found Raymon’s show funny, more frustrating than anything. The wife was always whiny and naggy, the in-laws were annoying. The few funny moments I remember revolved around Robert, whose character was typically sad
