Awesome compilation Kelly! I can’t believe how many songs you know! And all played perfectly! my favorite guitar that you play is that deep maroon colored Stratocaster, and although I don’t have a single cut that PRS sure is pretty!

I just happened across your channel because of a mention on Reddit. Looking through and watching your videos inspired me to go out and buy a guitar. I've been playing for about 2 months now. Although I can't play most of it just yet I love that I have all of these tutorials and compilations to come back to. Thank you for sharing your time and passion. I can attest that it has an effect.

That must have taken some putting together. Not everyone knows what time and effort it takes to make videos such as this one, not to mention going back over and changing a few things! Hats off to your dedication, and massive thumbs up to the way you make your guitars sonically express just how good your fingers are on the fretboard, and of course how brilliantly sick your musical taste is. "Sick" used to be a bad word, apparently not any more! HUGE thumbs up Kelly. Very best wishes to you and yours 👍👍👍☮☮☮🤘🤘🤘

Thanks Tim! This was a heck of a job to edit for sure. The Riffs were mostly done over the past few months, but it was hours editing it all together and choosing what to include and what not to include. Plus adding a few new ones that I missed.

Wow, extraordinary effort! If I had the chops to make such a video (I don’t) I would have included King Crimson “Red”, Tull “Teacher” (1970, I think, so it would qualify), Television “Marquee Moon” and “Venus”…. I know, very subjective to make these lists. Terrific job!

Some absolute killers in there. I had totally forgotten about "Cities In Flames" by BOC.. and RUSH "Bastille Day"..Holy Hades, Smokin' Riff! When you enter the eighties Kelly..You have to tip your fretboard to "Crash And Burn" by April Wine. Thank you for another fantastic ,hard and exhausting work video ! 🤘
@KellyDeanAllenGuitar2 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! Yeah, Crash and Burn will definitely be there. One of the heaviest tracks April Wine ever recorded. And yes, this was a hell of a lot of work, haha. The playing was mostly done except for a few new ones that I added, but the video editing took ages to put this thing together. Fingers crossed that it takes off and does well.

I always enjoy watching you. You've brought back some just Wonderful Memories. Just a Killer Video! Are you using Bias FX 2 on all of these? You are the Tone King.
@KellyDeanAllenGuitar2 жыл бұрын
Yes. Bias FX2 Elite. I have a couple of amps and a pedalboard, but recording is much easier and quieter with software, as I usually play late at night. I can spend hours (sometimes days) working on a tone. Gets a bit mad sometimes, haha, but it's fun. Guitar software is like a video game to me.
@BadgerStyler2 жыл бұрын
17:38 I can't believe you pulled that one off. How much practice did it take?
@KellyDeanAllenGuitar2 жыл бұрын
Spent way more time dialing in the tone than I did learning it , haha.
@jordanparker74072 жыл бұрын
@@KellyDeanAllenGuitar Do you have any tips on learning how to dial in tone on songs, I've played for a few years now but would be straight clueless on where to begin changing it via the amp lol
@KellyDeanAllenGuitar2 жыл бұрын
@@jordanparker7407 well, for one thing, I use bias FX2 software for all of my recordings. I have amps and a pedalboard, but I never use them to record. Much easier and quieter with software. I'll often research what the guitarist actually used on the recording. Amp type, effects, guitar and pickup configuration. Can usually be found on different forums out there. Then I'll start piecing it together. Twiddling knobs etc, with the actual recording pulled up as reference at the same time, until it starts sounding close.

Fun vid. Of course totally subjective and correctly so. Could do a list of top 1000 or 500. It’s just up to the person. But I like your AC/DC picks. But dude Back in Black has to be in top 10.
