Bit of a shame the whole series of this hasn't turned up on YT. One of the episodes dealt with continuity and presentation, and we were treated to a tour around the Tyne Tees transmission centre, even if it was hugely out of date by 1988, most of it having been installed in the mid 1970s with a few additions in the early '80s.

Great footage of The Roxy, not given enough of a chance by the other itv companies.

This was a great series for it's time and also you could send off for a poster to Childrens ITV at the time as well.

Good upload. Chris Kelly was such a great presenter...retired now I assume. I remember a news edition of this programme which would be good to see again

I was in the crowd on this particular episode and I was interviewed by Gaz Top while queuing to get in but I have never seen that footage

Mark, do you mean you were in the audience of The Roxy show? If so, can you remember if the balconies of the 1987 set, the ones that faced the stage, were still in position? There seem to be two sections of it remaining, one either side of the stage on the 1988 set. Just wondered if they'd removed them.

Think the old fashioned 'dance hall' set was completely removed. I read it was modelled on an old hall in Wallsend. A lot of the gold stage and gold surround were just soft painted rubber. That TV studio, studio 5 Tyne Tees did have some permenent walkways/stairs attached to several sides of studio walls, those white pillars are not an obvious part of the old set

+Paul J Yes Aswad were number 1 at the time when the last Roxy was aired. I will have to contact ITV at some point and see if they have any more Roxy shows. The programme I have is listed as Roxy programme 42 so I believe that's how many were made.

@@garethstephenlankshear9379 No Gareth, as far as I'm aware there were 43 episodes altogether. The Roxy was a great pop show. Something else to watch, as multi-channel TV wasn't available to the masses at that time - although it was just around the corner. I find watching the final episode very sad indeed. I had high hopes the show.

I used to have a copy of Kellyvision The Roxy from Tyne Tees. When the tape broke I asked if they could transfer it to DVD. Unfortunately the programme is lost, possibly wiped over

I believe this episode of Kellyvision has been wiped over or lost forever
