I had a Kelpie for 15 years.she was a stray in the busy streets of Toronto about 9 or 10 months old, its hard to believe that any one would abandon a Kelpie.She was the best dog I ever had ,lucky that I lived way north of Toronto,in the country with lots of land for her to run,I had to put her to sleep when she was nearly 16,,and in very poor health,poor old girl had Cushings disease and was old .it was soooo sad but I did not want her to suffer anymore .it was the hardest thing I ever had to do,its been 3years since ,she went over the rainbow bidge and I miss her every day.will never be another dog like my Sally the Kelpie!!

Lorna Hayne it is sad how people do that, my kelpie was abused before we rescued him, the old owners had never fed him so you could see his ribs and hips, also they would hit him and keep him outside in a fenced yard, they fed all there other dogs though, we rescued him for free also

I have a kelpie 10 months old. A little stubborn but best dog ever. Hope my boy can live 15 yrs. Such a loving dog. If my wife doesn't get home from work on time he flips out barking at door and looking out window until she gets home

They do. I used to have a kelpie. His ears were up all the time. Even when he fell asleep forever, his eras were still pointy
