I won't lie, the Warden is probably my favorite addition for a very long time, if it had an extremely powerful item it would either be easily farmed or unobtainable in multiplayer servers

The only problem for me at least isn’t the fact that it doesn’t drop anything special, but more the fact that it isn’t guarding anything special either. Feels like the whole deep dark concept was just whipped up to get people more interested in the half baked and overall boring lore.

I think the update’s fine. It’s not entirely groundbreaking but it’s also not the absolute most disappointing update ever. I just hope that archaeology doesn’t get completely ignored in future updates like fishing or farming. Perhaps we could see more mobs that can be revived, or renewable pottery sherds. Maybe you could even fish up suspicious clumps that have salvageable debris you can find with a brush, effectively merging fishing and archaeology, giving them both some new features at the same time.

As someone who hasn't played Minecraft in a good few years, I think this update adds some nice content. Not a huge amount or anything but content bloat seems like a very possible issue down the line so I think small updates are fine

Problem is, is that it took them a year to do what a single person could do in a month, and they didn't even flesh out most of it. To me, it feels like they are doing the bare minimum to keep the community from getting upset while also making changes that are directly made to anger the community, such as making it possible to have a complete server blacklist for a person, purely based on easily faked evidence.

Random rant here: Why don't more mod packs use the construct's armory and tinkers' construct that often. And the time that I've seen them used, it's always not using the most of the potential combination mods that give more options for it, I've noticed that the latest versions/updates of tinkers' don't allow you to make certain things any more in porcelain furnaces, which is kind of annoying when progressing in SkyFactory-like packs where you'll end up needing tons of iron, and having efficient methods to increase material amounts is necessary for decent progress rate. Sure, I love not having to deal with the annoying enchanting system of Minecraft and just upgrade everything, but having to make a million stacks of grout is annoying.

Well, to at least sort of answer the first question, there's more to modded tools than Tinkers. It's a fantastic mod, but there's other mods out there that either fill the same role(s) or whose features are made obsolete by the inclusion of Tinkers. Tetra, for example, is another customizable tools mod, something that feels somewhere between vanilla's enchanted tools and Tinker's crazy material traits, complete with a very handy ancient debris detector and reason to explore (blueprints, unique tool parts, tool progression). Or look at Immersive Engineering, which is a damn cool mod, but if included alongside Tinkers, well... why would I ever make the drill, or the arc furnace, or any of the infrastructure required to make/maintain either of those, when Tinkers tools and smelteries exist in the same pack? Sometimes the exclusion of mod can help other mods shine when they would otherwise be ignored. As for addons, well... at least when I had played with them last, they weren't exactly the most balanced, which can be fun (and it was), but may also not be what the pack maker is looking for. Ore duplication is handled by practically every other mod anyways, with some doing more than doubling (Mekanism and Industrial Foregoing both have/had up to 5x ore processing, both being fairly complex yet interesting problems to solve). Also _its modded!_ If you want to use a mod that isnt present in a pack, add it! Next to nothing is stopping you from adding the mods you want to play to the game, go nuts!

@@EeveeRealSenpai Hammer Progression was probably my least favorite part of Tetra, the worst of it is needing to find a Forge Hammer in underground ruins to progress into netherite tools (in cold biomes, at least from when I last played), and even then those ruins have lots of goodies- For tools, depending on the type (single headed tools like shovels, double headed tools like pickaxes and axes, blades, etc.) you have a variety of options, especially on double headed tools where you can mix and match tool heads and possibly get some synergy bonuses. There's other bow types, sword types, _shield_ types, tool belts for quick tool swapping or (i think) item space, and some other stuff I'm probably missing that I can't fit into a single youtube comment. With some exploration you can find modification scrolls/blueprints for some items, such as serrations for swords that allow projectile deflecting, or warforging your tool heads to give unique uses in combat, really cool stuff. Enchantments are still applied to Tetra tools, but you do so with enchanted books and apply them to individual parts of the tool the same way you do with other modifications. Looking through the modlist for that pack, there's a *lot* of mods I've never seen or used, and there aren't too many tech mods, but at a glance Modern Industrialization or Tech Reborn *might* have some ore duplication. Create does as well, but it's only something like 1.3x in 1.17+ with the addition of the raw ore items. Fortune is, unfortunately, probably your best bet at getting more ore per block, but Spectrum seems to have a way to get enchantments above vanilla levels... EDIT: Oh, if you wanted to _add_ tech mods to the pack, unfortunately I'm not too aware of what is and isn't available for Fabric, but as most tech mods add something to worldgen, you'd either need to start a new world or go out to explore chunks you have not yet generated, if you were to do so.
