Java Island in the past was one of the world's centers of maritime civilization due to geographical factors which are now largely forgotten. One of the supporters of the advancement of maritime civilization is the existence of a strait that is now land, namely the Muria Strait. The existence of this strait is an important factor in the progress of civilization because it is strategic for being used as a port, where having a port in the past is the same as having an international airport in the present. The existence of remnants of an ancient civilization on the peak of Mount Muria which the people call the temple of the wind also shows that the area on either side of the mountain was an important place in ancient times.
So, this video was made to explore the history of Java in the past from the perspective of the existence of the Muria Strait, especially the era of the Kalinga kingdom from Chinese news sources. Some things about the history of Java can be invalid if you ignore the fact that this strait exists. For example, to find the location of the Kalingga, Medang Kamulan, and also Demak palaces, one cannot leave the reality of the geographical situation at that time. Likewise, to search for the origins of the cities of Kudus, Pati, and Rembang, of course, it would be inappropriate if we left out the fact of the existence of the Muria Strait in the past.
