I purchased one of these to replace my kelvin aerolite and sized up to XL this time. Good thing because it looks a little high waisted and from what I hear doesn't have an adjustable hip cinch. Should be here tomorrow.. can't wait to use it now that's it's finally getting cold enough here in CO. They say the mesh is so your core heat can easily pass through to heat your hands and any electronic devices in the interior chest pockets. I hope it blocks wind enough to use it at as single layer.Update: got the jacket and it's fantastic. No hard parts so you can sleep in it and blocks wind great. Took it on a 5 mile walk before daylight here in the foothills of the Rockies this morning at 20degs and could feel the heat exhausting from the hand pocket. Actually sweated in the super articulated hood with a light grid fleece beanie. Love this jacket!

By far, one of the worst jackets I've owned and perhaps the most expensive! Not terribly warm, but by far the biggest issue is the zipper. It has separated and broken on my jacket TWICE. I've owned the jacket for 2 winter seasons and have had to send it in for repair once, during each season. Repair takes roughly 8 weeks or more, so for 2 months of the winter season, I'm without my $300 jacket! I know that a lot of people buy Sitka to impress their hunting buddies because the cost would SUGGEST it's high quality, but I have found that is NOT the case at all. I've never had a zipper fail so easily on the cheapest of coats! I will never buy another Sitka product and would discourage others from making the same mistake I did.
