9:40 Not sure if you want to know this sort of thing but harbors don't work "red goes to blue and blue goes to red". You can leave by any harbor (blue or red), but you can only go to a blue harbor. But yes, the exception is that you can also return via the red harbor next to your city.

Of course we want to know this! Also as a fan of original Kemet, I honestly was a bit dismissive of the harbors. That’s totally on me. Again; didn’t affect my experience. ~Tim

04:25 you can certainly buy 3 *distinct* colors in a round if you have the pp to. In fact, you can do Buy, Buy, Buy, Pray, and Move in a round

I was taught wrong again!?!? Lol Thank you. That is good for everyone to know, but it wouldn't have affected my play session or rating :) -Dan

@@BoardGameRundown haha quite the opposite. Now I see why you thought Kemet as a bashing each other game. It is actually very strategic as people compete for tiles rather than “areas”. So you always want to be buying. Might want to try that next!

If I play it again I will try that out for sure, but I've played an insane amount of board games and have watched videos of it being played in the past. I can draw from those experiences and know how I would feel about the game even with that change.

Haha, I came here to ask that too. When they said that I thought I'd learnt it wrong and I went straight to try to find that rule in the manual...

@@GreenGlassScarab yep, the issue was when we looked at the rulebook and saw 1 per round, we whiffed on “color” per round and never went back to check. As Dan said, it didn’t affect our experience, and more importantly, we played consistently, so every player was limited in the same way. So I guess you could say we played on “Hard Mode”~Tim

Kemet is my favorite game of all times. The game is WAY more "let me build my engine" then it is "let's fight". As for Ankh, I as expecting it, since Blood Rage is my second favorite game, and I really like Rising Sun as well. But I was verry disapointed with it =/ PS: You can definatly buy more then one tile each round. Just not more then one of the same color.

Such great insight! Thank you guys for your awesome overviews and reviews. I was REALLY curious about Kemet and how it compares to Ankh and Lords of Hellas, but not in terms of how they're played, but rather what the fun factor is and how it compares to the others. And I really appreciated what Dan had to say about why he gives it a 6. Rock on guys!

Thanks! LoH is for us the superior game, but there are similar elements. ~Tim

"Who am I going to punch" could easily trade for "what pieces of wood will I trade for other pieces of wood". Not being able to look past a personal bias of not enjoying conflict is poor form imo. This game is at least a 7.
