Went out for a test ride today. Great performance, I had all the heaters on medium and rode for 1hr 50 mins. I got home with 50% charge remaining. Pretty impressive for the money and very pleased with the quality of the waistcoat. It feels warm even switched off. Thanks for the heads up.

We also now have the Kemimoto heated socks and they are just as great as the Heated vest. I’d recommend putting the socks on half power, it will last you the riding day but more importantly I found full power cooked my feet when inside the boots! It didn’t feel particularly warm at first but a hour or two in the boot and wow was it warm!

I checked the prices and must say that that’s a good price… I have the Keis Vest which is the best thing I ever bought.. It’s thin, hot as hell, can be adjusted via either the dondle controller or blue tooth via phone. Can be wired to the bike or run on battery… The downside is that it costs an arm and a leg (you could buy 5 of yours) , and you can only use Keis batteries which ain’t cheap! I suppose one downside to the ones you have is it’s not possible to change heat modes when riding… love the idea of the neck being heated though. That’s someone mine doesn’t do.
@ontheroadadventure
@ontheroadadventure 9 ай бұрын
Wow Keis isnt heated on the neck?! Our thinking is that at the Price of the Keis, the jacket needs to last at least 10 years assuming we need to replace these every two years before the keis becomes better value for money. But its unlikely it would still fit or be in serviceable condition after all that time. I know that keis is good quality kit but This is such a bargain it just cannot be ignored
@TheBucksBiker-lh2nm
@TheBucksBiker-lh2nm 9 ай бұрын
@@ontheroadadventure I guess another advantage of the Keis is the carbon tech that allows the vest to be sooooo thin it doesn't bulk up under other jackets. The other day I rode (was about 7 degrees) with just a t shirt under my jacket and was hot... I'm on my third season with it so not doing too bad. It will have to last a couple more seasons to pay it's debt... The vest is about £140 but you have to add the controller which is £35 for the standard, or about £50 for the blutooth... Oh and battery is over a hundred! Gucci prices... Are your vests quite bulky?
@ontheroadadventure
@ontheroadadventure 9 ай бұрын
@@TheBucksBiker-lh2nm No there’s the thin black one we were on the bike and Ewa got the thick fluffy one too which doesn’t fit under the jacket comfortably

Wow those are good value for money. I have a Gerbing heated inner jacket that can run off the bike or a battery pack. It replaces the liner on my Merlin jacket and can be turned up to sauna hot! I also have some Keis heated glove liners, they don't get hot, they run at blood temperature so you kinda don't get cold. However, both come with YARDS / METRES of cables. Christmas is coming..... and let's face it, you can never have too much gear.
@ontheroadadventure

This is proof simple is always best. We like these because they do the job well, at a affordable price and are not over complicated or have wires everywhere. Im not a fan of being attached to the bike via cables, its annoying to plug it in and i always forget to unplug before getting off. Kemimoto do nice casual looking jackets too just like the Battery heated vests. We are quite taken with these

Just thinking about some heated clothing and find video very helpful, I've been out today on my vfr800f and only did 30miles and had to come home because I was very cold, being a old fart doesn't help, but a nice here vest would definitely help so I've just ordered one of those kemimoto ones you guys have, very reasonable price so we'll happy with that. Cheers guys. 👍
