Thank you for the review. I’m given the opportunity to test and get a 22 Spyder if I so choose in a weeks time. They’ve got 2 newly delivered boats for me to choose between. One very basic, and one with a U-sofa. Targa and canopy also available the dealer said. Season is very limited up here in the Arctic with really only June-August to rely on. May & September would be just a bonus if we could use it then. I’d like to be able to trailer it also if we’re going to Sweden or Norway’s west coast. Motor is Mercury 200, although I’d prefer a Yamaha outboard. I’ve heard prices are going up (10%?) from dealer and that next year could be shortages on plastics for the boating industry as a whole so maybe I should just hurry pick this old priced one up🤔 Only concern is that the mrs wants a full width screen…

Would there be as much shelter as say a regular 20ft speedboat? I would think it would be very windy for passagers.??

Hi there, thank you for your question. Of course, it is "just" a 22 foot boat which simply cannot offer as much shelter as a 28 foot boat. We don't have much experience with the Axopar 22 yet but my feeling says that, since the freeboard is quite high, and higher than on other 22 foot boats, you can create better shelter from the wind. Especially lying down on the U sofa/sunbed, added shelter should be possible, especially if you create something to block the wind from passing the steering console. I seem to remember that Axopar is looking at this but we as a dealer (for The Netherlands & Belgium) could certainly create something.

Hi, please check with your dealer, there are test reports available on fuel consumption. I can promise you that, as with any Axopar, it is a very efficient hull with really good fuel economy. Regards, Bart Kempers

Hi there, I don't really know te be honest. This was a pre-production boat which was with us for only a few days. What we usually recommend is to go to the Axopar website, make a configuration, and then send the pdf file to your dealer. Your local dealer can then add the engine, transport, VAT, commissioning, et cetera, making it an official quotation. What I can say is that here in the Netherlands, quotations vary with an end price between € 65.000 - € 90.000.

I certainly did Melissa, haha, but spring is coming and so is our first (sold) Axopar 22 Spyder, hopefully in may. I'll do a more thorough review then, hopefully in nicer conditions. Warm regards from the Amsterdam area!
