In this part we are going to see Kempty Falls of Mussoorie, which is a natural wonder of Uttarakhand, India. Kempty Falls is the most popular and one of the oldest tourist spot near Mussoorie. Developed before more than 150 years ago by a British man, Kempty Falls is the most fascinating picnic spot or a perfect day out place nearby Mussoorie at a distance of 15 km. At a breathtaking altitude of 4500 feet in Mussoorie is located the Kempty falls. It is the famous destination for nature lovers. Among another tourist places the Kempty fall in Mussoorie is really loved and visited.
Kempty Falls is a waterfall in Ram Gaon and at the south of Kempty, in the Tehri Garhwal District of Uttarakhand, India. It is 13 kilometres (8 mi) from Mussoorie on the Chakrata Road, and 45 kilometres (28 mi) from Dehradun. There is an estimated tourist inflow to the Falls of over 10 lakh (one million).
Kempty Falls were developed as a prominent tourist destination in Garhwal by British officer John Mekinan, around 1835. The name Kempty is probably derived from the word 'camp-tea'. A stream of water running throughout the year starting from the southwest of the village of Banglow ki kandi moves northwest and falls from 4,500 ft. Splitting into five other cascades, the water falls a further 40 feet.
Tourists likes to enjoy the refreshing bath under the 40 ft Kempty Waterfalls. Tourists also enjoy some boating in the nearby man-made pond.
There are Several shops to serve food and other eatables. These shops are located at some 15 km distance from Mussoorie, it opens during the daytime only from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The distance between Haridwar and Kempty Fall is approximately 105 kilometres. This distance can be covered by road in around 3 to 4 hours, depending on the traffic conditions and the route you choose.

You can hire a taxi from Mussoorie or take a local bus to Kempty Fall. This option is economical, but the journey might be longer due to multiple stops and transfers.
By Train
Although there is no direct train service to Kempty Fall, you can take a train from Haridwar to Dehradun. The journey takes about 1.5 hours. From Dehradun, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to Mussoorie and then proceed to Kempty Fall.
By Air
The nearest airport to Kempty Fall is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, located about 60 kilometres from the falls. If you are traveling from a distant location, you can fly to Dehradun and then continue your journey to Kempty Fall by road.
