So we enlisted the help of 90’s icon and 5.0 aficionado, Vanilla Ice, to bring our Carcaine Inspired Fox Body purchase up to 90’s hot-boi spec. I had an 1986 5.0 i bought used off my bestfrends older sister with the dreams of restoring it because I rode in it when it was brand new back when we were kids!(that point on I was a mustang lover) Matter fact she picked us up from golfland!! Miss those days forsure...... But unfortunately the sensors all went out so i had to let mechanic keep it (she didnt take very good care of it) and I was young and broke...Never was able to own a pony since.... I’ve been subliminally trained to like notchback LXs because that’s the one everyone wants for a race car, but yeah, the hardtop later GTs are the one to look at for sure. If you can keep the top down all the time like in southern CA, the convertibles look pretty good, too.

She’s gonna love this car after she learns it. I have almost the exact car componentswise. Only thing I don’t have is the scotidi front end (which I’ll be looking into very soon) and I have much better power under the hood. The MM parts are where it’s at for the 86-93 mustang. My daughter is 21 now and absolutely loves the Foxbody. Every chance she can she takes mine out and goes to Hampton beach to show off. Lia will definitely learn to love this whip for sure.

All it needs now is the motor rebuilt and upgraded, new clutch, better axle gears, and its good to go! They already took care of the cosmetics & suspension and braking!

Man, i remember when my dad taught me how to drive in our 1995 renault laguna baccarra, he taught me how to drive as a reward for good grades in 6th grade. The clutch was so hard you were never sure you pressed it in all the way, it had 110 horsepower half of which escaped, the clear coat was peeling off, i stalled the car a billion times, but it was a cherished memory. sadly we had to scrap the car exactly a month ago. I still haven't gotten over it. The car that replaced the laguna whose heater core hose leaked on you if you were disrespecting it was replaced by a staggeringly boring, diesel ford c-max. It has cruise control and GPS and bluetooth connectivity, but it doesn't have a soul.

Thanks Ken for making the 5.0 better, your daughter should be happy to have gotten a chance to drive the lightest in the 1990's it was faster than the Corvette, and at least the one i drove faster than a Viper
