5 cyl's unique sound comes from its musical equivalent - a 'major third' - that's why they sound so pleasing. V10s too of course still with that dominant major third but have an additional 'perfect fifth' companion (a perfect fifth is the dominant two tone you get from a 6 cyl). V12s - all of the above. (Not forgetting V8s of course which combine the perfect fifth with octave companions giving them the distinctive burble)

Front outside tire not spinning during doughnuts. Maybe you need to bring audi a double locking diff. Spinning out second gear entry with square tire footprint usually means front heavy. Unless that front was never spinning and just anchored you during the first test. From the rewatch, I would say you have too much tire for the diff. Over torqued the diff clutch. Carcaine paint scheme, love it.
@vwnut83922 жыл бұрын
all depends on what they have in it for differentials. if still stock the front is still 100% an open differential especially if the car still retains the RS2 01E 6 speed LCE put in it. that would also mean a torsen center differential with 60/40 bias. rear differential could be anything from an original small chassis with manual locker to a custom fit later differential with open diff or a V8 torsen factory LSD differential. either way all these parts are very robust and will take the abuse for a long time before failure. the car is too powerful to go backwards to an 016 gear box to get the manual locker center with 50/50 bias. ken would shear the input shaft off no problem as the car makes 150-200 more hp than the 016 can support.

My brother wore out in one weekend a set of Z rated tires on a trip from Utah to Yosemite national park averaging 160 mph with a lunch stop. The tires were worn to the cords right down the center when they arrived back home. Love the Quattro. The front and rear lockers at a pull of a button... awesome, the "4 wheel suspension steer"... awesome. Kickin car!

Ken, if you haven't figured it out yet, Audi's problem has always been the 50/50 torque split between front and rear diffs. While its perfect for fast times, it not ideal for having fun in. If you can get it to 40/60 front/rear, it should solve the issue.
