damn this video is gold. never get tired of it. deshiken vs kuroda is one of the greatest matches to behold. this guy destroyed kuroda, yuki, KO, chinta, RX, hirai, and all other top players and rarely loses. talk about insane.

The thing I love most about Deshiken is his laser-fine ability to HIT CONFIRM. Man, he's brilliant at it. x_x Among other things, of course. He's an overall excellent player.

and how do you know it would have whiffed if it didn't happen? the gap between the stand up and the throw would have left enough time for a light shoryu that might have connected if the throw was already in motion.

Dude, I am right there with ya. I have Daigo, Deshiken, PinoAB7, J, and Kokujin all to thank. Until about August, I knew about 3rd Strike, but didn't care about it. Now, I almost never play ST because I'm constantly playing 3S.

or they would have attacked and he would have eaten it..... because he was going for three throws in a row.... which was my whole point. I understand how the game works, I'm just pointing out that he got lucky that whoever he played against didn't counter.

3 throws in a row is not uncommon in 3s. it happens frequently all the time. its part of mindgames. when youre stuck in the corner and ken/chun for example has super bars, people block = afraid of getting hit. one hit confirm by ken in the corner = the damage of 5 throws. and the wake up game isnt in your advantage since ken can stuff a lot of your moves.
