There will never be another Ken Griffey Jr. He was incredible.

This video should have millions of views. What's wrong with people ? Ken Griffey jr swing is poetry in motion. He didn't use steroids at all. Played great defense and had a killer arm. It's to bad he had those injuries cause he definitely would've been the HR king.

By far I remember seeing something on espn saying If he didn’t get hurt he was on pace to hit almost 800 HR’s

@@lucasdeangelo5462 he was at 398 when he was traded to Cincy entering his 10th year. I'm sure he would've slowed down in the mid to late 2000s even without injuries, beat easily could've had the hr record

@@lucasdeangelo5462 scratch that, 398 in 9 years. Forgot about the lockout season in 94 (during his prime).

Junior was a once in a lifetime generational talent-playing style similar to Willie Mays. His batting stance and that swing was so graceful, beautiful, fluid, and smooth-like a ballerina. He had tremendous power behind that pretty swing. He was scary 😨 good

Griffey doesn’t and most likely will never get the proper credit he is due. He was the Michael Jordan of his sport for that decade. A true one of one. Never again will we see a player like Griffey. He had it ALL. Anything close is only an immitation. He MADE baseball cool. THE GOAT 🐐

Baseball was always cool, Griffey was just the coolest.

That’s the reason why Bonds turned to steroids. Bonds was a great player, MVP hitting 40 homers every year, and then McGwire and Sosa had all the spotlight 98 and 99. So Bonds said he’ll jump on that train as well. Griffey much more honorable to play the game the right way during that era.

Griffey Jr had the sweetest swing, he could have hit maybe 750 HR's if he was healthy late in his career- he still hit 630! He was also unbelievably great on defense in CF. Excellent base runner, hit for decent average.. Bottom line, he needs to be mentioned as one of the greatest players ever to play baseball! When talent, athletic ability, and work ethic meet: you get Ken Griffey Jr

If it wasn't for the nagging injuries he could have ended as the all time home run leader, over 3,000 hits, and a lot more gold gloves. Tremendously talented baseball player

If not for those injuries in Cincy, he'd be the Michael Jordan of baseball hands down... and if you grew up in the 90s like me, you knew he was the 2nd most popular athlete behind MJ during that decade.

Its funny how they tried to make griffey look like a punk/villian in the movie Rookie of the Year. He is one of the most gracious and humble Homerun Kings of All-time.
