Timing is key. You're almost guaranteed to miss one 50MPH junk pitch every at bat. Only way don't miss is if you're preparing for the slow pitch... and then the pitcher buzzes one by you at 100MPH.

I remember I spent countless hours on renaming all the players in this game to their real names. I think I had a baseball magazine to make sure they were all correct (cause they had the right stats and jersey #s just fake names). I got a good amount of play in but then let me friend borrow the game and somehow all the names got erased. I was not happy lol

I used my baseball card set from that year to do the names. As luck would have it, on my website BaronGaming dot weebly dot com, I uploaded a version of the game with all the names corrected.

@@tomp2449 Easy. It's an error on some/most emulators when creating save files. Each team, go to the EDIT screen and click RESET DATA. This will fix it. It's annoying, but you only need to do it once for each team.

They don't appear in this game, but they will be appearing in my 2024 update of Ken Griffey Jr.'s Winning Run and in my current release of R.B.I. Baseball '24 on NES.

Any tips on hitting? I'm 18-9 in my season but 8 runs in a game is my best. I get 1 or 2 homeruns in most games but a few games all I can muster is 1 or 2 runs total. I'd like to break double digits for runs.

I've got nothing. I don't know if slumps are programmed into the game, or if it's luck. I'll win a game by the score of 15-0 one game, and then lose 2-1 against the same team.

@@dvdragoneyes Names can be changed in the original game. In this version, however, not only are the names changed, but the stats, appearance and ratings are all updated. Completely new players.
