In my opinion, there is nothing better, than a Ken Smith Bass. No. I don’t have one but I’m sure looking for a deal on one. Love your videos man. Keep inspiring us. You motivate me to keep trying to reach the stars!

WOW!!! When I was a kid, there was a bass in the window of the music store that I used to drool at, at least one a week. I didn't play any instruments, but this bass was calling me. I couldn't afford it and never did get it. It was a Peavey T-40!! Since then, I have never heard it mentioned. Until this video!

As you more or less said, out of phase is only useful for solo stuff or other special situations. I have that on my Gibson Ripper and generally don't find much use for it.

Which bass tone is compared mostly to a Ken Smith? Which bass with Humbucker tone and etc that has that Ken Smith tone. Like a Imitation to a Ken Smith.

I've heard and played so many different basses and they all sound kinda ehhh to me . Which is why I stick to the precision bass almost 💯 percent of the time . However I've heard a few of these old Ken Smith's and nothing sounds anything like them .

Not to knock your craftsmanship and repair skills, but the string spacing at the nut looks WAAAAY off. The E and A strings are way closer than the D and G. And theres an even bigger gap between the A and D. Youve probably redone the nut i imagine.
